Travel To Monteverde Cloud Forest

Monteverde Cloud Forest is named for the ephemeral mists that always envelop them. Costa Rica’s cloud forests are typically found at elevations above 3,500 feet. One of the highlights in Monte Verde reserve is to spot the gorgeous Quetzal, one of the most beautiful birds of the world. Be sure to visit the canopy before leaving the cloud forest.

Visit Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve

Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve protects over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds and 1,200 species of amphibians and reptiles. Here you might be able to spot a jaguar, ocelot, puma, margay, oncilla and jaguarondi. The reserve has 8 miles of trails for hiking and walking. Only 120 people are allowed on the trails at one time.

Travel To La Fortuna

La Fortuna is a rural city located in San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It’s location is approximately 6 miles from Arenal Volcano, which has been regularly spewing smoke, ash and occasional spitting out rocks. La Fortuna is a gateway to a magnificent waterfall that towers over 225′.

Caño Negro Safari Boat Trip Enjoy a two hour Safari Boat trip down one of Costa Rica`s beautiful rivers inside a wildlife reserve called Caño Negro. Caño Negro is a remote tropical everglade in which we will see many water birds, caymans, iguanas, tree sloths, and howler monkeys along the shore.

Visit 1968 Trails By Arenal Volcano

1968 Forest Trails Arenal Volcano erupted on Monday, July 29, 1968 at 7:30 am after being considered by many to be extinct. The eruptions, which lasted for several days, spewed rocks, lava and ash for over 9 square miles. The 1968 eruption made trails and a small lake, which are perfect for spotting many types of birds and wildlife. It is recommended for hikers in good physical condition and will take approx. three hours to complete all trails.
