Hacienda Pozo Azul, a 2000 acre working ranch, has become the adventure destination of choice in Costa Rica, at only 60 minutes from  Tropical Paradise Bed & Breakfast you will enjoy a great experience in a nature rich environment with first class equipment and trained guides to provide you a safe and unforgettable experience.

For today you can choose two of the different tours that they offer, which are included in the package if you choose Pozo Azul. Those could be:

White Water Rafting class 2, 3 and 4

A two hour Mountain Bike Tour

A two hour Horseback Riding Tour

Hiking in the Rain Forest

 

Live the excitement of Rafting in class II, III or IV rapids for those that have previous experience in rafting.

The tour:

•  Fitting life vests and safety helmets

•  Safety instructions at our private put-in followed by practice paddling and assigning individual positions on the boat.

• 2 hours long, 13 Km run on class II and III rapids on the scenic Sarapiquí River with following rapid sequence as of 2004:

    • Bienvenidos ( Welcome) Class II
    • Hueco Gringo ( gringo drop) Class III
    • Confusion class III
    • Las Pilas ( the washing board) class III
    • Superman class III
    • Montaña rusa ( The roller coaster) class III
    • Ah..Caramba! ( Oh.. Lord ) class III
    • Fuerza Aerea (Air force ) Class III
    • Ola Monica (Monica's wave) Class III

• All boats used are Top brands 14 feet, used with 4 or 6 passenger depending on river conditions

• Safety kayaks always in number related to number of boats on the tour.

• Energizing fresh local fruits by the river at a swimming spot

• A ride back for shower and changing at our facilities

Local wildlife will also be seen along the way.

 Hacienda Pozo Azul Restaurant is the place to enjoy finest food in the area, their Chef has masterfully incorporated the high variety of local produce into fine dishes. You will enjoy them in their unique green seal building with an impressive view of the Sarapiquí River.
