Poas volcano, Costa Rica
Poás Volcano National Park has a mile-wide crater. A 300 yard walk from the parking lot leads up to the viewing terrace 600 feet above the awesome cauldron, where a sulfurous pool bubbles and smoke is disgorged, you may also get a whiff of sulfur fumes! This is one of the most visited parks in the country.
